Laser Hair Removal

Whether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, the patient who is tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair may welcome laser and intense pulsed light hair removal with relief. Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin’s surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years. Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal -- the follicle must be “active” at the time of treatment, and not all follicles are active at the same time. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.

Massage Therapy

Whether from work-related tension or the stress of daily activities, our muscles are often clenched, knotted and stiff. This can in turn affect our physical and emotional well-being. Massage is performed to relieve stress and improve day-to-day performance by relaxing muscles, stimulating circulation and promoting a refreshed, rejuvenated mood. A trained therapist applies pressure to the tense area or areas using a variety of techniques from around the world, often supplemented with aromatic oils, moisturizers, exfoliants or heated stones. Commonly massaged areas include the face, scalp, shoulders, back, arms, legs, hands and feet. Massage can also be highly effective for the relief of pain associated with cancer, TMJ, carpal tunnel syndrome, migraine, arthritis, pregnancy, athletic injury, and other medical conditions.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Restylane®

Restylane® is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (Ridges or edges that appear from the root of the nose to the angle of the mouth).Restylane has a highly favorable safety profile. It is composed of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in the human body. Restylane is fully biocompatible. There is limited risk of animal-based disease transmission or development of allergic reactions to animal proteins. No allergy testing is required before use.

Restylane maintains its shape using the body's own moisture. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is hydrophilic or "water loving." As hyaluronic acid gradually degrades, each molecule binds to more water and over time, the same volume can be maintained with less hyaluronic acid. This ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide long-lasting results. Unlike rooster-derived hyaluronic acids and bovine collagen products, Restylane is free from animal proteins. This limits any risk of animal-based disease transmissions or development of allergic reactions to animal proteins.

OBAGI® Nu-Derm Skin Care

OBAGI Nu-Derm is a skin treatment program used alone or as a preparation for other procedures to develop and maintain healthy skin. Designed for easy use at home, in six weeks (the time it takes for the outer layer of your skin to be replaced with the fresh one beneath) the Nu-Derm System transforms damaged, dry or wrinkled areas into smooth, soft and well-moisturized skin. Nu-Derm also strengthens your skin against day-to-day damage, reduces the appearance of blemishes and other discoloration, improves circulation, and rebuilds collagen for a fuller, younger look.

Contour ThreadLift

FDA-approved Contour Threads™ are thin, flexible sutures that are threaded underneath the skin from the ear to the hairline to rejuvenate sagging foreheads, eyebrows and cheeks. When the threads are pulled gently, tiny barbs lift the sagging tissue into a subtly higher, more youthful position that reflects the patient’s natural facial contours. The sutures are left in place to maintain the effects, which are further enhanced and supported over time as the body produces natural collagen and elastin fibers around the threads. The entire procedure takes about an hour under local anesthesia.
